4-Week Curriculum

Week 01

Endodontics

Root Canals, Done Right

Read and diagnose a case before picking up an instrument
Full RCT workflow: access opening, cleaning & shaping, obturation
Hands-on with RVG digital X-rays, Apex Locators & Rotary Systems
Treat real patients independently under MDS supervision

Week Outcome: You will have completed full RCTs on real patients — with your name on the case.

Week 02

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Extractions Without Fear

Local anaesthesia injections that actually numb — every part of the mouth
Build confidence all the way back to the second molar
Suturing practice until it feels completely natural
Perform minor surgical procedures under expert supervision

Week Outcome: Difficult extractions will not feel difficult anymore.

Week 03

Prosthodontics

Crowns, Bridges & Impressions

Fixed prosthetics from tooth preparation to final cementation
Rubber base impressions that don't distort
All crown types: Metal, PFM & full Zirconia — know when to use which
Lab communication for accurate, well-fitting restorations

Week Outcome: Confidently manage a crown or bridge case from prep to cementation.

Week 04

Cosmetic Dentistry

Smile Makeovers & Cosmetic Work

Internal bleaching for teeth darkened post-RCT
External bleaching for a brighter patient smile
Composite bonding & reshaping: close gaps, fix chips, transform smiles
Tooth jewellery application — done correctly in under 10 minutes

Who is the Gap Year Clinical Program designed for?

The program is designed for fresh BDS graduates who are waiting for NEET PG results, planning to apply abroad, or simply want to use their time after graduation to build real clinical skills. A minimum BDS degree is all that's required.

What specialities are covered in the four weeks?

Each week is dedicated to one core area: Week 1 — Endodontics (Root Canals), Week 2 — Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (Extractions), Week 3 — Prosthodontics (Crowns & Bridges), Week 4 — Cosmetic Dentistry (Smile Makeovers).

Will I work on real patients or only on models?

You will work on real patients throughout the program. All live patient procedures are performed with a qualified MDS specialist standing chairside with you for guidance and safety.

What documents will I receive at the end of the program?

You will receive an ADE Certificate of Completion, a personalised MDS Specialist Recommendation Letter, and a documented case portfolio covering all four specialities.

Can the program be extended beyond four weeks?

Yes. The program duration can be extended by mutual agreement depending on your individual learning goals and availability.
